Amidst dollar scarcity and economic downturn in Nigeria, an arrested Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Nigeria PLC, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo has named the ex-minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke and one of his son, Ugonna Madueke in an alleged embezzlement of the sum of $115 million American Dollar in the wake of 2015 presidential election in a failed attempt to force Jonathan back to power.
 Nigerians are now paying for the reckless usage of foreign currencies, which could have been left in the nation’s foreign reserve to boost the economy.
Some moment ago, the media, especially the new media (online) were awash with photos and stories of flamboyant and ‘dollarized’ lifestyle of Ugonna Madueke and other sons of Diezani Aliso-Madueke, an ex-minister of petroleum who has been accused of gross theft, misappropriation and lavish spending of public funds at the her disposal.
Today, many are blaming President Muhammadu Buhari for the current harsh economy, forgetting that the present bad economy is as a result of the corrupt practices condoned by former President Goodluck Jonathan. Where bundles dollars were indiscriminately used by him, his allies in desperate bid to return to power.
Diezani Alison-Madueke’s sons, living like Kings in America, complete with private jet travel, luxury ship vacations, frolicking with local and international superstars such as Dbanj, Neyo and Cecil Hammond.
