BETWEEN GOVERNOR OSHIOMHOLE, PASTOR IZE-IYAMU AND DR PIUS ODUBU (A MUST READ!!)

 
Nigerian politics can be described at best a chess game, and each player is constantly maneuvering trying to outdo his opponent that sometimes they just don’t know when to stop, as they stake everything they’ve got into it… and that is what the current political situation in Edo State looks like now. With the latest news on the ground about the alleged assassination attempt on the life of the Deputy Governor and the non stop fights on the Social Media, it looks like the polity is gradually been heated up by supporters of both the Governor and his deputy. The strange part of all this is, everyone of these people belongs to the same APC party. The big question here is, how is this going to work if the governor and his deputy don’t see eye to eye? Of cause the deputy Dr Pius Odubu has constantly declared his loyalty to his boss the governor, but then again he is going against the wish of the governor by not stepping down for his candidate. On the other hand his own supporters argues that he has every right to contest, which means Edo State or rather APC is heading for a complete showdown between Governor Oshiomhole and his Deputy Dr Pius Odubu (Watch out for our Explosive article on that) Now let us go back to memory lane, during the first tenure of Comrade Oshiomhole many insiders are of the opinion that he was sponsored not just by his own party alone, but by

 the opposition PDP, led by the former Governor Lucky Igbinedion. This shows that politicians will do anything to survive or have their way regardless of Party loyalty or who get’s hurt in the process, which also brings us to a curious part of this article. Whether the Governor or his deputy accept this or not, majority of Nigerians are of the opinion that there is bad blood between these two and the PDP will benefit greatly from this. If Dr Pius Odubu eventually wins and becomes the APC gubernatorial candidate would governor Oshiomhole support him and work  for the success of APC in Edo State? The safest answer to this question is NO!  He might just decide to reach out to his old friend Pastor Ize-Iyamu and the rest, they say is history! On the other hand if Governor Oshiomhole’s candidate Godwin Obaseki wins, will Dr Pius Odubu support and work for his success? Again the safest answer here is NO!  Not with his supporters claiming the Governor want’s him dead, so why on earth would he support him the governors candidate? At the moment it seems the PDP has everything to benefit from this Heat and rift in the APC camp, and unless they can squash their personal ambitions and work for the benefit of their party, the APC might just be handing Edo State to the opposition party on a platter of Gold.
